Revidd guide card: Vimeo OTT Pricing 2026, Starter vs Enterprise, covering a plan comparison, app store cuts and questions for sales

By Sampath Mallidi, CEO of Revidd | Prices checked October 17, 2026

Vimeo OTT pricing in 2026 comes in two plans. Starter costs $1 per subscriber a month plus 10% of one-time purchases, with upload and transaction fees on top. Enterprise has no public price: Vimeo quotes it, and it is the plan that adds TV apps, live events, advertising and a 24/7 live linear channel. Every figure on this page comes from Vimeo's own pricing page and help articles, linked where we use them.

TL;DR: Starter is $1 per subscriber a month and 10% of one-time sales, web only and pre-recorded only. Enterprise is quoted by Vimeo sales and adds TV and mobile apps, live, AVOD and a 24/7 channel. On top of either plan you pay card fees, upload hours and, for in-app sales, the app store's cut of up to 30%. Vimeo says its Samsung and Xbox apps can't sell subscriptions in the app, so check that before you plan TV revenue.

What does Vimeo OTT Starter include, and what does it leave out?

Starter gives you a web storefront for subscriptions, rentals and purchases, with free trials and no upfront cost. It leaves out every TV and mobile app, live video, advertising and the 24/7 channel. Those are Enterprise only.

What you get

A web storefront, SVOD and TVOD, free trials, email support and bandwidth included in the $1 fee. Vimeo also lets you add videos already in your Vimeo library "without purchasing or using OTT upload hours", using your Vimeo storage instead.

What you don't get

Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung, LG and mobile apps; live events; AVOD; and the 24/7 live linear channel. If your audience watches on TVs, Starter is a test, not a launch.

What fees come on top of the $1 per subscriber?

Card processing, transaction fees, upload hours and a few per-unit charges. Vimeo's pricing breakdown and upload hours page list them.

Fee

What Vimeo lists

Subscriptions (SVOD)

$1 per subscriber a month, plus merchant fees of 2.5% + 30 cents

Annual subscribers

$12 upfront per annual subscriber ($1 x 12 months)

Screeners and coupons

100 free a month, then $1 each. A 100% off promo still costs the $1 subscriber fee

Branded app purchases

Fulfillment fees, including users added for free, charged to the card on file

A worked example

Say you have 1,000 monthly subscribers at a $9.99 price you set. These are example inputs, not real customer numbers.

  • Subscriber fees: 1,000 x $1 = $1,000 a month.

  • Merchant fees, if the 2.5% + 30 cents applies to each $9.99 charge: 1,000 x ($0.25 + $0.30) = about $550 a month.

  • Total: about $1,550 a month on $9,990 of sales, before upload hours and any app store cut.

Vimeo's breakdown does not say in so many words how the merchant fee is applied, so ask your rep to confirm it with your own numbers.

How much does Vimeo OTT Enterprise cost?

Vimeo does not publish an Enterprise price. Its pricing page lists "Monthly or yearly subscription" with "Volume-based discounts available", while its FAQ says Enterprise "requires an annual subscription agreement". Ask sales which applies to you and get it in writing.

Enterprise includes 60TB bandwidth, 200 upload hours, 1080p, branded apps and dedicated account management. On the fee breakdown, branded apps and live are "Contact us", so the quote is where TV apps and live get priced.

Why you see other Enterprise numbers online

Older and third-party reviews still rank. AudiencePlayer's review dated May 20, 2020 lists "$500,- per month" per extra app. Dacast's review dated March 22, 2025 lists a "Growth" plan "starting at $500/month". Neither figure, and no Growth plan, appears on Vimeo's pricing page as of October 17, 2026. Treat them as history and ask Vimeo for a current quote.

What do Apple, Google, Roku and Amazon take from Vimeo OTT app subscriptions?

When viewers subscribe inside a branded app, the app store takes a share before you do. Vimeo's in-app fees article (last updated March 19, 2025) lists these terms.

Samsung and Xbox apps can't sell in the app

Vimeo's article says its OTT apps on Xbox One and Samsung TVs "don't support any form of in-app purchasing". Viewers must subscribe on the web or another app first, then sign in on the TV. If Samsung TVs matter to your audience, plan that sign-up path before launch.

Did Vimeo stop supporting Roku and Fire TV apps?

Not for Vimeo OTT. On June 27, 2023, Vimeo retired its own consumer apps on Android TV, Fire TV and Roku. Its help article says the change "does not apply to branded apps available to Vimeo OTT Enterprise sellers". Enterprise still lists Roku and Amazon Fire on its pricing page.

Is Vimeo OTT a good deal for Vimeo On Demand sellers?

It can be, for web sales. Vimeo On Demand fully shuts down on November 20, 2026, and Vimeo's Seller FAQ calls Vimeo OTT "the recommended alternative". It also says content and subscriber data "will not be automatically migrated", so any move is a fresh start. Read our Vimeo On Demand shutdown guide and build your dates with the free Vimeo On Demand migration planner.

When is Vimeo OTT the right choice?

Vimeo OTT is a sensible pick in three cases:

  • You want to test web-only subscriptions with a small audience and no upfront cost. Starter's $1 fee scales with you.

  • You already host on Vimeo. Library videos can go into OTT without buying upload hours.

  • You want a large vendor's hosting and Enterprise extras such as optional live production services.

When should a broadcaster compare other platforms?

Compare when you need TV apps on day one, live and a 24/7 channel with a program guide, advertising next to subscriptions, or viewers who sign up on Samsung TVs. Those are Enterprise items on Vimeo, priced only by quote, so get competing quotes at the same time.

Revidd is one option to quote. It runs on-demand, live and 24/7 FAST channels from one CMS, with native apps on Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Apple TV, Fire TV and Android TV, plus web and mobile. Branded apps can be ready in as little as 1 to 2 weeks, plus app store review that Revidd doesn't control. Ads run through SCTE-35 markers for your ad partners, and the apps carry your brand with no "powered by" label. Revidd powers streaming that reaches more than 38 million viewers and 5.2 million monthly active viewers across 15 countries. What should you ask Vimeo sales before you sign?

  • Is the Enterprise contract annual or monthly?

  • What happens when you pass 60TB of bandwidth or 200 upload hours?

  • Which TV and mobile apps are in the quote, and who submits them to the stores?

  • How much are fulfillment fees on branded app purchases?

  • How is the 2.5% + 30 cents merchant fee applied?

  • How will Samsung TV viewers subscribe without in-app purchasing?

  • How do you export subscribers, purchase history and video files if you leave?

If you might leave later, read how to migrate from Vimeo OTT and our OTT platform migration guide before you sign.
