Vimeo On Demand Migration Planner
Last updated October 9, 2026. Dates checked against Vimeo's shutdown notice.
Vimeo On Demand shuts down on November 20, 2026. On that date its pages, storefronts and purchase flows go offline, according to Vimeo's shutdown notice. This free planner turns the time you have left into a dated task list.
Three of the four dates in Vimeo's notice have already passed. New uploads were blocked on August 22, 2026. New purchases and subscriptions were blocked on September 21, 2026. Final seller payouts were processed on September 24, 2026. The only date left is the shutdown itself.
That leaves sellers with four jobs: save your files and records, pick a new home, rebuild your catalog there, and tell your buyers where to go. The planner puts those jobs in order and gives each task a due date, working back from the day you want to be live somewhere else.
Tell it how many titles you sell, how you sell them (buy, rent or subscription), and which screens you want next. The planner is free to use on this page with no account, and you can tick tasks off as you go. The downloads are free too, in exchange for a work email: a calendar file, a CSV, a copy-as-text version, and print or PDF. Nothing you type into the planner leaves your browser.
One point that often gets mixed up: Vimeo OTT is a separate product and is not shutting down. Vimeo's notice points sellers to it as an alternative.

The full plan is on this page. To take it with you as a calendar file (.ics), a CSV, plain text, or a print or PDF copy, we ask for a work email. Enter your work email and the next page opens the same tool with everything switched on. Your plan carries over in your browser.
We ask for a work email in exchange for the downloads. It goes to the Revidd team, who may contact you. Your plan is not sent with it and stays in your browser. See our privacy policy.
How it works
Method. The planner takes today's date and your move date, and treats the days between them as your window. It spreads about 20 tasks across that window in five phases: secure your files and data (first 20 percent of the window), choose your new home (by 40 percent), rebuild your catalog (by 85 percent), tell your buyers (first notice at 10 percent, final notices near the end), and move day. Flexible tasks that land on a weekend move to the Friday before. Tasks that depend on Vimeo On Demand still being online, such as saving files and warning buyers, are never scheduled later than November 19, 2026, even if your move date is after the shutdown.
Inputs. Number of titles, titles you can process per working day (optional), number of buyers (optional), your move date, how you sell, whether your original files and buyer emails are already stored outside Vimeo, and the screens you want on the new platform.
Workload check. If you enter how many titles you can process per day, the planner divides your title count by that number and compares the result with the working days available. It uses only your figure. It contains no estimate of how long a migration takes.
Limits.
The four Vimeo dates come only from Vimeo's public notice, last checked October 9, 2026. If Vimeo changes the notice, this page will be updated.
The planner does not know what your Vimeo account can export. It tells you to check, and not to assume a buyer export covers everyone.
Task dates are suggestions spread across your window. They are not a promise that a migration fits in that time.
App store review times are set by each store, so TV and mobile apps may go live after your web launch.
The planner is not affiliated with Vimeo.
Your answers and ticks are saved in your browser only, so they are there when you return and when you unlock the downloads. Clearing site data removes them.
The downloads ask for a work email. The form is separate from the planner, which never sees your email.
FAQ
When does Vimeo On Demand shut down?
Vimeo On Demand fully shuts down on November 20, 2026. On that date its pages, storefronts and purchase flows go offline, according to Vimeo's shutdown notice. Earlier steps have already happened: uploads were blocked on August 22, 2026, purchases and subscriptions on September 21, 2026, and final seller payouts were processed on September 24, 2026.
Is Vimeo OTT shutting down too?
No. Vimeo OTT is a separate product and is not part of this shutdown. The closure applies to Vimeo On Demand, the storefront for selling and renting individual videos. Vimeo's notice points creators who want an alternative to Vimeo OTT.
What happens to videos my customers bought on Vimeo On Demand?
Buyers can keep watching their library until November 20, 2026. After that date access is no longer available, according to Vimeo's notice. Vimeo encourages buyers to download content that supports offline viewing before the shutdown, so sellers should tell buyers this as early as possible.
Can I still sell on Vimeo On Demand before November 20?
No. Vimeo blocked new purchases and new subscriptions on September 21, 2026, and blocked new uploads on August 22, 2026. Existing buyers can still watch until the shutdown, but the storefront can no longer take new orders.
How does the planner decide the task dates?
The planner spreads tasks across the days between today and the move date you pick. Saving files and data comes first, then choosing a platform, rebuilding the catalog and telling buyers. Any task that needs Vimeo On Demand to be online is capped at November 19, 2026. The dates are suggestions, not a promise of how long a migration takes.
Is Revidd the right place to move a Vimeo On Demand catalog?
It depends on what you run. Revidd is an OTT and FAST platform built for broadcasters, media companies and content owners who want branded apps on TV, mobile and web. A solo creator selling a handful of videos is usually better served by a creator-focused storefront or by Vimeo OTT. The planner works the same whichever platform you choose.
Is the planner free, and why do the downloads ask for an email?
The planner is free to use on the page with no account: you can build the full dated task list and tick tasks off. The downloads (calendar file, CSV, copy as text, and print or PDF) are also free, but they ask for a work email first. The email goes to the Revidd team, who may contact you. Your answers and your plan are not sent with it; they stay in your browser.
