Vodlix is a real option, and for some teams it is the right one. If you are weighing Vodlix alternatives, this page tells you who should stay, who should move, and what to check before you switch. We make Revidd, so we are not neutral. We say where Vodlix is the better choice. Every Vodlix fact below comes from its own site, which we read on October 23, 2026. None of those pages carry a date, so check them again before you decide.
Short answer: Vodlix suits a team that wants published prices, a cheap web only start, or server side ads and an IPTV style setup. Revidd suits a broadcaster that wants on demand, live and its own FAST channel in one platform, with native apps on Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Apple TV, Fire TV and Android TV, and no engineers on your side. If Vodlix already works for you, stay.
What are the best Vodlix alternatives for broadcasters?
It depends on what you need to ship first. The short list:
Revidd for a lean broadcaster team that wants on demand, live and FAST together, with native TV apps.
Muvi for a broad all in one platform. Its home page lists native apps on 10+ platforms and cloud playout for linear and FAST channels. See our guide to the best white label OTT platforms for how it compares.
Dacast for live events and business video. Its pricing page lists self serve plans, and it does not mention TV apps.
VPlayed and Ventuno for teams that start with on demand video. See our VPlayed and Ventuno comparisons.

What does Vodlix do well?
Vodlix calls itself the Shopify of OTT. It sells a white label platform for video on demand, live TV channels and IPTV, and it says you can launch without a big upfront spend.
A few things stand out.
Prices on the page. Many vendors quote in private. Vodlix publishes plan prices on its pricing page, plus a Custom tier by quote. You can budget before you talk to anyone.
A light way to start. Its entry plan covers a branded web and mobile web player. A Pay as You Grow option charges per active subscriber, web only. The pricing page has the current terms.
Live TV features. Its features page lists live channels, an on screen guide, time shift and nDVR, and multicast support for networks you control.
Server side ads. Its features page says it can stitch ads into the stream with Publica or Aniview and pass 39 targeting macros to your ad server.
Developer tools and options. It lists a REST interface for custom work, and its FAQ says it also offers an on premise install.
Apps on many screens. It lists branded apps for iOS, Android, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Samsung and LG, plus Chromecast and AirPlay.
Why do broadcasters look elsewhere?
We only list reasons that come from Vodlix's own pages.
TV apps sit on the higher plans. On its pricing page, iOS and Android apps start on a mid tier plan. Android TV and Fire TV need a higher plan. Apple TV and Roku sit on the top fixed plan. LG and Samsung apps are "subject to agreed terms". The same page says TV app submissions and custom development are quoted separately.
Vizio is not on the lists we read. Its home, features and pricing pages do not name it. If Vizio matters to you, ask.
Device counts differ by page. The home page says apps deploy to "16+ platforms". The about page says "over 12 devices". Ask for the exact list.
None of this is a flaw if you do not need those screens. It is a reason to price your real device list before you sign.
How do Revidd and Vodlix compare?
Only rows we can source from both sites are shown.

Native TV apps | Android TV and Fire TV on a higher plan. Apple TV and Roku on the top fixed plan. LG and Samsung on agreed terms. Vizio not listed | Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Apple TV, Fire TV and Android TV, plus iPhone, iPad, Android and web. 50+ device endpoints from one integration |
Apps timeline | Not stated on the pages we read | As little as 1 to 2 weeks plus app-store review, which is outside our control |
FAST channels | Listed on the plan that adds apps ("live TV and FAST channels") | FAST Program Manager, EPG and your own FAST channel inside your apps |
Ads | Server side ads with Publica or Aniview | SCTE-35 markers for your ad partners |
Two notes. We do not list our own cost on this page, so the price row is a gap on our side, not a claim that we cost less. Check Vodlix's published plan allowances against your own audience before you decide.
When is Vodlix the better choice?
Stay with Vodlix, or start there, if any of these is true.
It already works. If your service runs well and your team is happy, switching is a cost with no gain.
You want prices before a call. Vodlix publishes them. We do not on this page.
You want a small web only service. Its entry plan is a light way to begin.
You need server side ads today. Vodlix names its ad partners on its features page. We give you SCTE-35 markers for your ad partners and no more.
You run an IPTV style network. Multicast and IPTV are on its feature list. They are not on ours.
You want to host it yourself. Vodlix says it offers an on premise install.
Your team writes code. If you want to build your own front end on developer tools, Vodlix lists them. Revidd is for teams that do not want to.
You need a master control room. Revidd is not a headend or master control replacement, and we do not place your channel on third party FAST services.
What should you check before you switch?
Ask every vendor, Vodlix and us included.
What is the full price in writing? Include apps, bandwidth, storage and what changes it as you grow.
Which TV devices get a native app, and on which plan? Name your list: Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV.
How long until my apps are in the stores? And who submits them?
Can I run on demand, live and a FAST channel from one place?
What do I need on my side in people and skills?
What happens to my content, subscribers and app listings if I leave?
How do ads work, and who supplies the ad partner?
How do you move off Vodlix without losing viewers?
Do not turn the old service off first. Run the new one beside it.
List what you have. Videos, metadata, live channels, schedules, subscriber accounts and app listings.
Ask each vendor what moves and how. Content, subscriber data and payments are three separate questions.
Build the new apps and test them. Your Vodlix apps stay live meanwhile.
Move live channels last. Switch when the new apps are approved.
Move viewers, then close the old plan. Check your Vodlix contract end date and notice terms first.
Our migration guide has the full checklist. Revidd powers streaming that reaches more than 38 million viewers and 5.2 million monthly active viewers across 15 countries.
