BoxCast is a good live streaming tool, and for many churches it is the right one. If you are looking at BoxCast alternatives because you want your own app on TV devices, a full video library and a channel that plays all week, this page shows when to stay and when to move. We make Revidd, so we are not neutral. We say where BoxCast is the better choice. Every BoxCast fact below comes from its own site, which we read on October 25, 2026. Those pages carry no date, so check them again before you decide.
TL;DR: BoxCast suits a church that mainly wants to stream services live, with hardware and coaching from one vendor. Revidd suits a church or faith network that wants a branded app on Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Apple TV, Fire TV and Android TV, with on demand, live and a 24/7 channel in one platform. If live streaming is all you need, stay with BoxCast.
What are the best BoxCast alternatives for a church that wants its own app?
It depends on what you need first. The short list:
Revidd for a faith broadcaster that wants on demand, live and a 24/7 channel in branded apps on TV devices.
Other white label vendors. Our guide to the best white label OTT platforms sets several side by side.
Staying with BoxCast. If you only stream services live, a move may not pay off.

What does BoxCast do well?
BoxCast lists House of Worship as one of its main solutions, next to synagogues and temples, athletics, business, local government and education. Its house of worship page is built around live services.
Live streaming for services. It says you can stream worship services in HD to your website, Facebook Live, YouTube Live and other places, and schedule broadcasts to start on their own.
Its own hardware. It sells BoxCast Spark, a hardware encoder, and says it works with third party encoders too. It also has a Broadcaster App to go live from a phone or tablet.
Recordings. You can trim a recording, download it and embed it on your website.
Multi campus. It has a Multi Site player so remote campuses can watch your live stream.
Coaching. It says its U.S. based streaming coaches are available seven days a week, with extended hours on Sundays.
Branded apps. Its apps page says you can brand your own app with your logo, colors and cover photo, with no coding. It names web, iOS, Android, Apple TV and Roku.
Why do some churches look elsewhere?
We only use what BoxCast says about itself.
Fewer TV devices named. Its apps page names Apple TV and Roku. It does not name Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung or LG.
No 24/7 channel mentioned. The pages we read say nothing about a channel that plays all week or about FAST.
Live comes first. The house of worship page is mostly about the service stream. The apps page mentions on demand mainly in its pay per view section.
No prices. We do not quote BoxCast prices and you will not find ours here.
None of this means BoxCast cannot do these things. It means you should ask.

When is BoxCast the better choice?
Pick BoxCast, or at least talk to them, if any of these is true.
You mostly stream services live. That is what its church page is built for.
You are a small congregation. A simple setup you can run on Sunday may be all you need.
You want hardware from the same vendor. Spark and the Broadcaster App come from the same company as the streaming service.
You want a coach on call. Seven day support, with longer hours on Sundays, matters when a stream fails at 9 a.m.
You run several campuses. The Multi Site player is made for that.
It already works. Your people watch, your team is busy elsewhere, and a TV app is not on your list yet.
Where does Revidd fall short?
Be honest with yourself about these.
Revidd is a platform and apps, not an encoder or camera bundle.
It is more than a small church needs if all you do is stream on Sunday.
We do not get your channel placed on third party FAST services. Your channel runs in your own apps.
App store review is outside our control, so dates can move.
We do not publish prices. You get a quote in a demo.
How does a faith broadcaster move over?
List what you run today. Live feeds, recordings, apps, schedule and website embeds.
Ask who owns what. Store accounts, app names, viewer lists and your video files.
Move the library. Bring your recordings into the new media library and sort them into series and collections.
Build the schedule. Set up your 24/7 channel and your live calendar. See our guide to a faith 24/7 channel.
Launch the apps. Test on real TVs, then submit to the stores. Apps take as little as 1 to 2 weeks, plus store review.
Switch your people over. Do it before the old contract ends.
